A journey to enjoy the mystical and fantastical beauty of the Abukuma Limestone Caves.

Located within the Abukuma Highlands Central Prefectural Natural Park in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture, the Abukuma Limestone Cave is one of the largest and most beautiful limestone caves in Japan.
Created over eons, the area features a diverse array of stalactites, stalagmites, and columns, allowing visitors to experience firsthand the magnificent and fantastical beauty of nature, shaped by a single drop of groundwater.
At the lavender garden, approximately 5 lavender plants are in full bloom, and visitors can enjoy strolling along the walking paths or, for a fee, pick lavender flowers.

Abukuma Limestone Cave

The various beautiful formations created by the erosive action of dripping groundwater are each given a name and captivate visitors.

Main contents With a total length of 4218.3m and a publicly accessible section of 600m, this is one of Japan's leading limestone caves, containing a large number of diverse stalactites and stalagmites.

Lavender garden

At Abukuma Cave Lavender Garden, the garden typically opens in June and July to coincide with the blooming season, when approximately 5 lavender plants are in full bloom.
During the park's opening period, visitors can enjoy lavender picking (for a fee), and a limited-edition lavender soft-serve ice cream will also be available for purchase.

Iwaki Marine Tower

An observation tower approximately 60 meters tall stands in a corner of Misaki Park, which is spread across a plateau 46 meters above sea level on the easternmost cape of Onahama Port, an international port.
