Edo information city

The name "Yoichi" comes from Ise Yoichi, who opened the first public bathhouse in 1591 during the early Edo period.
"I remember seeing it long ago, in the early days of Edo's prosperity, around the summer of the 19th year of Tensho, the year of the rabbit, when a man named Ise Yoichi built a sento bath on the banks of Zenbinbashi Bridge. The bath fee was one Eiraku sen."
From the Keicho Kenbunshu (1614, written by Miura Joshin)

To allow you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of a public bathhouse from the Edo period and the open-air bath, the origin of hot springs, there is no washing area.
The open-air bath has three entrances and is equipped with a stone bathtub filled with hot water.
First, wash away the sweat with a "kakeyu" (soaking bath) before entering the open-air bath. When you get out, pour over yourself with "agariyu" (a bath filled with hot spring water). The hot spring water will envelop the surface of your skin, maintaining its internal vitality. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend the "agariyu shinyu" (sweet bath).

Mixed in with your own shadows are the silhouettes of Edo townspeople bathing and living alongside you.
Enter a fantastical space where the real world and the Edo period blend together.
Performance times: 19:30~, 20:30~

Exclusive use of Yoichi is available to guests staying at the Spa Resort Hawaiians Official Hotel. For details on hours, fees, and application, please seeclick here.
