Iwaki City Nagakura Elementary School has its roots in the history of the Iwasaki Pit of the Joban Coal Mine, and is an elementary school with close ties to Spa Resort Hawaiians.
Every year, in the 6th grade comprehensive learning class, we collaborate with the Tokiwa Community Center.
"Learn about coal mining, get to know your hometown, and think about how you want to live your life from now on."
In the 2024 comprehensive study, students worked on an activity titled "My Local Project," which looked into the current situation and issues in the Tokiwa Yumoto area, and promoted the appeal of the area from the students' perspective.
 Spa Resort Hawaiians received a proposal to create a pamphlet based on the children's learning outcomes, an original T-shirt design, and a food and drink menu, all of which would help increase the appeal of the area, and we assisted in making these ideas a reality.

During last year's school trip, we distributed maps summarizing local attractions to tourists in Asakusa and other areas.
